You should check your water filter for dripping and leaks every few months or so. Specifically looking at your filters O-ring gaskets, pumps, and connection pipes. Most leaking comes from broken connection pipes. If you do notice any dripping and/or leaks, turn off your water immediately and have it repaired. If you have a cracked connection pipe, you will need to install a new pipe and reconnect all of the fittings. Once this is done, you can turn the water back on.
